about me

I’m a writer and composer interested in delving deeper into the creative endeavors to which my life has been dedicated for the past thirty years. Each work brings a new opportunity to learn something new about the pursuit of the craft which is always growing, constantly evolving, and forever struggling to be heard amongst the many other voices that compete for our attentions over the course of time, often to the detriment of our craft. It has always been a belief of mine that the best way to know someone who is creative is to look at what they create; it is very difficult to separate the creator from their creation – most creatives will inevitably leave a piece of themselves behind. My hope is that within this site you will be able to get some idea of the “Echoes”, a small sample of some of my creative work that I have been working on over the past two decades.

Comments are welcome and encouraged.

    Dear aufzuleiden

    I read your comment here:

I was so disturbed by the vengeance and wrath you expressed without even checking the video or understanding the message of it

The message of the song; the song is NOT about “suicide bombing” or murder as they claim in the article (and you followed suit), but about teaching children who live through death every second of their tiny lives, how to cope with it

Do you understand Arabic? of course not, otherwise you would’ve noticed the falsification in translation, the master of deception even lie about the words, at the end of the video, the little girl was praying saying “hasbuna Allahu wan’ima alwakeel” which means ” Oh Allah you are our protector and supporter”, a prayer every Muslim says in times of hardship and adversity, the masters of deception translated falsely (as usual) into “oh Allah take revenge for us”

they claim that We “hate” our children and we “abuse” them (simply because we teach them how to cope with death that they relentlessly pour upon their tiny bodies daily)

It is a same to jump to condemnation of those who suffered a hundred years of mass murder and genocide, when you don’t know all the facts, and don’t hear all sides, that is not at all being just or equitable

maybe that will help you see the life/ death of Palestinian children

you also jump to the praise of the zionist occupiers in your false claim that they don’t teach their children “People wonder why it is possible for Israel to ‘get away’ with the horrors that it has committed against a civilian population, well – I’ll tell you why – we have yet to see the video of young Zionist children being indoctrinated to ‘kill Palestinians’ in the same manner as this video demonstrates”

    what an utter nonsense!

    have you never seen this:

and FYI, these machine guns are NOT toys, they are REAL

The poisonous article was introduced with a FAKE picture of two kids with one wearing a suicide built, the picture has nothing to do with the song in the video, it has been cooked in the hasbara kitchen of zion

May Allah guide you from wrong judgment and from throwing false accusation against those who are innocent, every word that we utter is our responsibility, we carry its burden forever

Nahida, you are so outraged by my comment (here: http://desertpeace.wordpress.com/2010/06/23/child-martyrdom-institutionalised-child-abuse/) yet you only seem to focus on Islam. I condemned ALL violence – by Christians, Jews AND Muslims. I condemn ALL fanaticism and the concept that ANY martyrdom – of children – is an abomination. If you would like to address these issues calmly and rationally, I welcome the opportunity to debate, but merely ranting on and on about how I am an obvious shill for the Zionists because I support something that I abhor – something that you cannot prove based on what I wrote and is posted at the link above – is not going to get you anything but the ‘dumbass of the year’ award for people who read the first paragraph of something and decide they know exactly ‘where it is going’.

Well, guess what? You got it wrong. I’m no apologist for Zionists, nor do I support fanaticism of any ilk. If you really believe that I condone violence of any sort, that’s your prerogative; everyone is entitled to be wrong in the face of contradictory evidence.

As for the issues relating to the translation; no, I do not speak Arabic – nor did I refer to the text in my comment. Straw man argument. I do not speak German either but … never mind, you wouldn’t understand. Tone, apparently, is lost on some.

Interestingly, you don’t address the text at the beginning of the video. Was that accurate? You know, the part about, ‘never forgiving’ (paraphrased) ‘no matter what’ – or was that also a ‘common’ prayer?

    Wie viel ist Aufzuleiden!
